A LIFETIME IN GARDENING

The Fletcher family has been involved in the Horticultural / Arboricultural industry for over 100 years. Claude Fletcher (Neil's grandfather) was a Horticultural worker in Lea Valley in the 1920s. Neil Fletcher, his grandson, started apprenticing at the age of seventeen. He established his own company in 1974 and, since then, he’s been servicing greater London and the Home Counties for 50 years. Today it is a family business where Neil and his two daughters Kiersa and Harriet run the company, sharing the same pathos and passion. The ENGLISH GARDEN Company Ltd has clients they have serviced for over 35 years on a weekly / monthly basis, not many companies can boast such client loyalty.

Neil Fletcher - Founder of The English Garden Company

I consider myself exceptionally lucky in that I turned my passion into a career. As a younger man I forfeited a job in the stock exchange where I could of earnt a large and secure income, for one that fed my passion and gave me happiness… I do not do this for money, I do it because I am passionate about horticulture.

I’m proud to continue my family’s legacy, and even prouder that the next generation of my family are involved in working with the business.

NEIL FLETCHER

Neil is the founder of the company and has over 50 years worth of expertise within the tree and garden industry, which has been his passion since he was a young boy. He remains an essential and pro-active member of the company.
